Welcome!

I would like to welcome you to my web site about Debt Collection Lawsuits. I want to start out by saying that this web site has nothing to do with how to pay off your debt, debt consolidation, or how to make your debts disappear. What this web site does contain is my experience in dealing with a debt collection lawsuit and dealing with it on my own.

Being served in a debt collection lawsuit is a life "changing" experience. You begin to realize that you cannot just "hide" from past debt or from debt that may not even be yours. The higher the dollar value of the suit, the higher the pressure. Many will want to seek the advice of a consumer law attorney, and that is a good route. They know the law in your area and will be able to do most of the work for you. This route can be costly.

Due to my own financial standing, hiring an attorney was not option. I then began down the path of self representation and research. That is what the web site is about. My path, and the documents I created to ensure my interests were being watched out for.

You can see the actual case dismissal forms I received from the court regarding my case. The attorney for this particular dept collector did drop thier case about five months after they filed suit. Form 1 is from the attorney requesting the case be dropped. Form 2 is from the judge, dropping the case. Now, the terms state the case can be refiled as per Texas law. Laws from state to state differ so be sure you understand YOUR state's laws regarding lawsuits and credit collections.

Due to the seriousness of this issue and the impact it can have on you and your family, I recommend you preview the web site disclaimer before you continue.

Don't Roll Over!

My Debt Collection Lawsuit was dropped in Texas. DO NOT just rollover. Make the debt collector prove thier debt is accurate. Real proof must be provided, and many debt collectors do not have actual proof (i.e. signed contracts, etc.)
